There are many reasons to pay attention to the energy efficiency of your organization/company. Due to the great need for energy in developing countries (China, India, ...), all sources, however small, available of fossil fuels have become expensive and the value of the fuel has increased.

In addition, their use creates environmental pollution and the Greenhouse effect. The problem of energy is highlighted especially in Industry, being a big consumer of it.

 

In order to reduce energy costs, but also to protect the environment, continuous improvement of the Energy Management System is one of the factors for successful business development.

This is the purpose of ISO 50001:2018, which supports companies and other organizations in developing systems and processes to increase the efficiency of energy use.

By defining and implementing the organization's energy management system, the following is done:

• Defining the "Energy Policy" and informing employees;

• Appointment of Energy Managers/Representatives of the interests of the Energy Company;

• Identification and assessment of the impact on the important areas of energy consumption;

• Creation of a database for efficient monitoring of energy consumption;

• Determination and continuous monitoring of energy consumption;

• Energy Management System (EnMS) continuously monitored and improved in the essential processes for determining energy consumption;

Periodic evaluation (at least every year) of the effectiveness of the Energy Management System.

Certified companies will reduce costs and improve the efficiency of energy management.
