├ WELDING
※ Test of Welders
For manufacturers of welded steel structures and pressure vessels, rails and protective technologies, the expertise of the personnel (welders) who work on them is of crucial importance.
With a recognized TÜV NORD certification, welding operations, in compliance with obligations, can document and communicate the skills of their employees. This is an important factor to convince demanding clients and to fulfill the strict rules.
The qualification of workers in the field of welding will be carried out by inspectors at TÜV NORD as a "notified body" in accordance with all current rules and regulations.

This means that you can be completely sure of the expertise and suitability of your welders, testers and system operators. TÜV NORD, choosing to be a tester of welders and metal structures, has chosen to not conduct training for the test subjects, based on EN ISO/IEC 17065 and EN ISO/IEC 17020.
Such a procedure, due to the conflict of interest it represents, would affect the integrity and objectivity of the certification.
We test welders in Metal (all methodologies) and in Plastic.
- Metal ISO 9606 -(1-5) for Steel, Copper, other metals and their alloys.
- PE Standard EN 13067:2020
We are accredited to test and issue EU certificates.
※ Welding Processes
Qualifications of the welding process.
Steel construction by specialized companies allows the creation of structures for buildings, halls, roofs, bridges, cranes, etc.
For companies that perform these complex tasks, in addition to the required qualifications of the manufacturer according to EN 1090, the legally required documentation is the process flow, which is also of great importance.
The same applies to pressure equipment manufacturers according to the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68 EU), suppliers and manufacturers of railway products and protective structures (EN 15085 and DIN 2303).
We certify the welding process WPQR, WPS for companies interested in these procedures.
All certifications are offered with EU accreditations valid everywhere.

With a neutral and recognized confirmation from TÜV NORD, welding operations are in safe hands. The process qualification for joining the WPQR processes (Welding Procedure Qualification Register), created in cooperation with well-known materials testing laboratories, protects the issued documentation. These separation and joining processes can be certified according to German, European and international requirements and regulations.
TÜV NORD has the required accreditation to qualify your processes. In addition, our experience of over 100 years allows us to offer continuous services for all tasks related to welding, making us a competent subject for all questions related to issues of regulations, standards and directives.

※ Welded Structures
Reliable structure thanks to the documented qualifications of the manufacturer.
Welded structures are usually subject to European Directives and International Standards.
For example, the European Construction Products Directive (CPR 305/2011 EU) requires, through EN 1090-1, that construction products with CE labels can only be brought to the market by companies that have been inspected and certified by a notified body such as TÜV NORD.
The standards are not the same for every company:
- depending on the type of structure to be welded,
- degree of damage,
- the material used and
- other criteria,
four execution classes are used (EXC 1 to EXC 4).

In the welding of railway vehicles and their components according to EN 15085, the standard divides the manufacturers and the parts they join into three levels, CL1 to CL3, depending on the safety function of the welded part.
Quality requirements for manufacturers and maintainers of protective products are divided by DIN 2303 into quality classes Q1 - Q4.
This in turn depends on the component classes BK1 to BK4.
Qualification of the manufacturer in the areas regulated by the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68 EU), taking into account the standard series EN 13445 and EN 13480 also demonstrate that the products have left the factory in a safe quality and condition.
The basis for this and other product standards is EN ISO 3834. In this "high level standard", the quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials are described.
TÜV NORD has all the necessary accreditation to carry out the manufacturer's qualification in the above fields. The TÜV NORD certificate enjoys worldwide recognition and will help you gain new customers.
