※ CE Mark
The CE mark, according to the EU Directives, is related to the safety of the requested product. By placing the CE mark on a product, the manufacturer confirms that the product complies with the European Directives in force.
TÜV NORD will help your company to achieve Conformity testing in a field regulated by EU Directives (Low Voltage Directive, Toys Directive, Building Materials Directive including doors and windows, Machinery Directive, EMC directive etc.).
Within the framework of the CE mark, we are able to offer all the necessary services in one place.
We help companies in the development phase of new products by answering all questions regarding the implementation of regulations, safety and occupational health provisions related to the safety of equipment.

The competitiveness of the EU and non-EU markets requires that the producer is always updated and informed about the regulations provided for in the reference markets.
The concept of "single market and good system" introduced in the 1980s within the single European market, envisaged the use of directives as a form of new approach to the regulation of internal markets.

To date, around 22 Community Directives have been introduced, covering most of the products placed on the Community market, electro-mechanical products, medical instruments, toys, machinery, radio apparatus, construction products and high-speed train systems.
Each of these directives provides for conformity assessments to place products within the single market.
We have defined six steps for CE marking your product:
TÜV NORD is able to follow you in all 6 stages for the CE marking of your product thanks to the experience gained in recent years in the Community market.
TÜV NORD as an international company is present in the most important markets of the world and is able to support you even if you need to approach extra EU markets.
※ Products for Construction
Since the success of any construction project depends on the quality of the materials used, the Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011) allows only those construction products with technical specifications harmonized with EU directives to be sold on the European Market.
Some of the Building Products that are part of it are:
- Metal poles of different profiles,
- Exterior, interior doors, windows,
- Chimneys,
- Building materials, nets, thermal insulators, etc.
- Glass,
- Ambient heating radiators,
- Structural timber,
- Keys
- etc.

In cases where construction products do not meet harmonized technical specifications, manufacturers wishing to enter the market must submit a technical assessment document issued by a designated Technical Assessment Body.
TÜV NORD is authorized to carry out certifications regarding the performance and conformity of construction products and materials.
Our experts help you bring your construction products to European markets.
Your benefit
- Competitive advantages provided by an independent test certificate;
- Make sure your materials do not pose a threat to human health or the environment;
- Meet the requirements of applicable standards and regulations;
- Expand your market in the European Union;
※ Electromagnetic compatibility
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) has a key role in the way that electrical systems and equipment not only function in a suitable manner with themselves, but also function in harmony with each other.
In the Electromagnetic Compatibility Act (EMVG), the legislator has made compliance with basic EMC requirements mandatory, based on EU Directive 2014/30/EU. For manufacturers, successful EMC tests in accordance with this directive also represent a proof of the quality of their products, as this prevents product or system defects due to electromagnetic problems.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and High Frequency Technology.
TÜV NORD specializes in testing electrical and electronic equipment in the fields of radio, EMC and electrical safety.
We advise you on which regulations and standards should apply to your device and take over the full processing of the services you request. In this way, you ensure access to the market in accordance with the law and standards.
Worldwide, we are at your side for testing, and international certification of devices that use radio modules or radio services.
Electromagnetic Compatibility – EU Directive 2014/30/EU
The EMC Directive 2014/30/EU applies to equipment and fixed installations in the EU. The EMC Directive sets out the basic requirements for Electromagnetic Compatibility for proper installation and maintenance, as well as its intended use.
The scope of the directive includes all devices that cause electromagnetic interference or whose operation may be affected by such interference. For electrical and electronic products, the CE mark is mandatory in the vast majority of cases.

CE mark according to Conformity with the Harmonized Directives of the EU.
A relevant test, e.g. according to EN 61010-1 or EN 62368-1, by TÜV NORD serves as the basis for a CE marking of the respective device. The test also considers electrical, thermal and mechanical hazards, e.g. through insulation measurements, high voltage tests, heating tests, short circuit tests, shock and drop tests, determination of spaces and distances.
For this purpose, in addition to the device to be tested, the company's operating instructions, circuit diagrams, parts lists, material data and, depending on the product, other relevant documents must be made available and evaluated.
