PEST CONTROL
Certification for the DDD - Disinfection Companies
Food safety in storage, production, retail and food services depends on many PRP prerequisites.
Pest control management is definitely one of them. The variety of pests that food-related companies must monitor and control is great.
These programs are an important part of the HACCP and annually audited food safety certification programs.
The success of pest control management is highly dependent on the quality and technical knowledge of the pest management service. This certification will help provide a large amount of information on the maintenance of rodent traps; data collection and inspections; monitoring systems; troubleshooting and fumigation techniques for agricultural products.
TÜV NORD CERT is accredited to certify according to Standard EN 16636 disinfection (DDD) companies for five controls.
What is the [EN] 16636 standard?
This European standard specifies the requirements, recommendations and core competencies under which pest management service companies must operate to meet the needs of their clients, whether they are private companies, public authorities or the general public.
EN 16636 ensures that the industry is recognized with a responsible approach to pest management in all European Union and EFTA countries.
The standard creates awareness of the value that the pest management industry represents through maintaining health and hygiene.
The initiative contributes to the control of non-professional use and thus provides important support for products that are necessary to protect the public, buildings and businesses, but which are nevertheless under pressure from restrictive or de-registration measures.
The purpose of the Certification is to act as an industry standard and guarantee of professional pest management practices, while requiring the highest standards in public health and hygiene.
